How the weather has affected us this year

The excesive rainfall in April and May has had a major impact on our operations this year. The impacts can be categorized as follows:

Loss of a segment of the growing season (it's safe to say that we have to date lost 6 weeks of the 2011 season)

Delayed planting

Crop losses

Complications in crop management

Equipment problems

Loss of income due to rainy market days

Increased pressure from insects (excessive snowfall over the winter prevented thorough freezing of the ground which has led to more flea beetles and other pests)

Overall lack of product which has decreased our revenue this year
