2013 Crop List

List of Crops we will grow in 2013.  Of course, planting and harvesting are two different concepts. Many variables determine whether we will have the end product and in what quantity.

Kale- Spring and Fall

Spinache- Spring and Fall

Kohlrabi- Spring and Fall

Pak Choy (or Bok Choy, as we say in Ohio)- Spring and Fall

Romaine Lettuce-Spring and Fall

Radishes

Beets

Swiss Chard-Spring and Fall

Turnip

Cucumber

Summer Squashes

Snow Peas

Garlic (usually harvested in July), Garlic Scapes are cut in May

Tomatoes: German Pink, Cherokee Purple, Yellow Pear, Cherry Tomatoes, Jolly, Amish Paste, Green Zebra, Hillbilly Heirloom, Moskvich, Sunkist

Eggplant

Onions

Leeks

Cabbage

Winter Squashes (Butternut, Delicata)

Green Beans (Kentucky Wonder, August/September)

Basil

Parsley

Peppers (California Wonder Bell Pepper, Hungarian Wax hot pepper)

Potatoes (Russian Banana Fingerling among other varieties)

Wildcrafted Raspberries and Blackberries

Apples and Pears (2011 was a "wash", hopefully we will have some tree fruits this year)
